Bit of the Doctor

I was thinking about the upcoming show Rex is Not Your Lawyer starring (drumroll) David Tennant and I really think that there has to be some way that they try to get Chris Eccleston on it. Come on, if he was on Heroes then I'm sure NBC can get him back again. ;) He can play some kind of doctor who's (haha, I made a funny) being sued for malpractice. I just think that would simply be way too awesome. It'll probably never happen but someone out there had better write some fic for that. Hell, they should probably try to get Barrowman too while they're at it. He could play Rex's old college friend or something who's rowdy and randomly gets naked. In other good news I found out that they're airing The End of Time on BBC America the day after Christmas so it looks like I won't have to watch it online afterall. That means two weeks in a row of the final Tennant episodes. Hopefully I'll be all caught up by then. I can't wait to see what happens. Come on, I know you can see that happening too [info]mjls

And hopefully many more to follow. There isn't really much point to this. I'm currently working on editing the next chapter of my Doctor Who/POTC crossover for posting sometime tomorrow. Hope everyone had a nice day. :D

I finished Pride and Prejudice which is my 2nd Austen book for my Research Seminar class (my 1st being Persuasion). Now I just need to read Mansfield Park and a Jane Austen bio, continue my research and then write a big paper all of which I am not looking forward to at all. About the only thing keeping me close to sane is watching Doctor Who before bed. It gives me something to be happy about before going to bed. I'm starting season 3 again tonight. Not a fan of Martha though I have to say. That and hopefully writing a crossover fanfic for Will to meet the Doctor. Now anyone reading this can you please do me a favor. Give me three random words: A setting, an object and an emotion. Note that this isn't the slash one. I'm going to be saving that until December when I feel more eager to write it. I feel like if I mash some words together I might get an idea for a fanfic. Thank you.

Well, at least I found a muse

Does anyone know how much Will/Doctor slash there is? Because I seriously want to write one. No, really, I'm telling the truth. Well, at the moment I'm writing one that's non-slash but in the future I kind of want to write another one. Where they make out and stuff. My brain feels weird.

In other news, I'm required for one of my classes to watch Wuthering Heights, the 1939 version. Which is up on youtube and that is awesome. And aside still from all of that I started working on my Research Sem reading and I've made it through Persuasion and I'm currently enjoying Pride and Prejudice.

So basically life goes on and I want to write a slash fic. Heh, this is going to be interesting.

One test down, one to go. I'm pretty sure I didn't do well on the 1st one :(. This cheered me up a little www.youtube.com/watch
Looks a bit interesting. I finish with season 4 of doctor who tonight and then I guess next week I'll go back to season 1 since I didn't see any of that. I'm also trying to work on fic whenever I can fit in the time.

Made this in under 20 minutes because I watched "The Doctor's Daughter" last night. I figured, why not. ;)

Tomorrow I'm going to try and find some time to work on the Willabeth challenge I volunteered for (thanks to williz) on good ol' HTR. I'm seeing a definite idea and, as has been the case lately, it's just going to take some strong willpower for me to just sit there and do it. We're also going to go to the Great Allentown Fair tomorrow. We've been going to it ever since I was little so I can't wait to see what they've got this year.

I finished series 2 of the new Doctor Who and Monday night I'll start series 3. Of course with the scene that ended season 2, I seriously think that beaches are the saddest place for a couple to be separated. First Willabeth and now 10/Rose! If I ever meet a guy he had better never, ever break up with me on a beach. On another note, I completely forgot that the guy who played the 9th incarnation was Claude on Heroes. I'll watch that season last I suppose. David Tennant is seriously growing on me; love him now too (my top 4 celebs at the moment: Orlando, David, Zach and Jack Dav). Of course now that I'm watching him I'm really upset that he's leaving the show. He had better go out in a blaze of glory, that's all I'm saying. I'm reading this really long fanfic at the moment, over 200 chapters! It's pretty cool. So, that's about it then. Anyway, hope everyone has a nice day tomorrow. Signing off then. :)

Another Semester

Okay so I've officially had all of my classes now and I know everything that's expected of me. And now I'm freaking out already. Not about all of the classes, no because I'm sure I'll have some fun in a great deal of them. I'm taking a pop culture class and seriously how cool is that; learning about what's popular and how it affects society. No, that one's fine (despite the 15 page paper due at the end w/ a presentation included). Add 10 pages to that and that's my Research Seminar class. See, we have to pick an author and read 3-5 of their works and then by the end of the semester write a 25 page paper w/ a min. of 20 sources. *cue me freaking out* It's not that I'm worried about getting to that point, it's that I have this huge fear of doing badly. The class only meets once a week though so that's fine. My other classes are Understanding Social Problems, Literary Modernism, and the Victorian Era.

There's also something funny that happens every year when I go to school too. I always get interested in something random. As you can see, this year it's Doctor Who. I found a place that has the episodes online and I found this really amazing fanfic involving, wait for it, the Doctor becoming a vampire. Vampires are just awesome. And David Tennant  isn't so bad looking himself. No fanfics are in mind yet and I sort of doubt I'll really come up with anything.

I guess that's enough for now. I'll let you guys know if anything changes or something.

So, has anyone on here ever watched Rifftrax? I've only ever seen clips of it on youtube but seriously it's hilarious. The funniest one has to be The Dark Knight. I haven't laughed that hard in awhile. There's also one for COTBP which one shouldn't miss either. I'm a bit extra awake at the moment, drank coffee at 10 o'clock and still not that tired yet. I'm running out of things to do. Unfortunately I'm not in much of a mood to write anything at the moment. This semester I'm going to try and not put so much of the stories on hiatus. I'm hoping to find a happy medium between writing and working. Which if it's any indication of this past summer won't be much of a difference at all. School starts on Wed. :P

Okay so things have been rather dull lately. School starts in a week and this week I get to do my favorite ritual of buying school books. I absolutely cannot wait to waste money. I already bought all the supplies I needed, mainly lots of notebooks and also some erasable pens since I hate crossing out things. Woo (barf)

For the most part, I suppose my summer vacation was okay. I read books at least this year and that's always a good thing (especially if you're a Creative Writing/English major) It's going to be my final year and I cannot wait to get out of school. Though the prospect of finding a job is absolutely terrifying me (see major).

The writing portion of my summer was a bit lax. I started one new story, Teacher, and now I'm not even sure I want to continue it due to lack of reader response. In short, no one is really reading it. And did I mention that I really want to finish Shipwrecked? Looks like that might continue a little into the school year yet again. Right now though I'm working really hard on a story that's going to go on my other ff.net account. I've mentioned that too right? I forget what I say half the time on here. Anyway, it's a POTC, Willabeth story w/ vampires and werewolves (in no way at all related to anything from the twi-universe which I am not a fan of) I'm working extremely hard on Ch. 1 in the hopes that people will want to read it. I started about the beginning of the month and still haven't completely finished it. I still think I've got a ways to go to explain all that I want to in it.

So that's the way things are looking right now. Hope everyone has a very nice week. I'll report sometime next week about how things start off in the new semester.

The Sims is Awesome

I re-installed my old copy of the Sims along with the 'Makin' Magic' expansion pack and I (of course) made Will and Elizabeth characters that I'm currently trying to get together. Things were going fine but then the next morning Elizabeth-sim decided she didn't love Will-sim anymore. I can't play again until at least Saturday so hopefully I can fix things between them.

It's been awhile since I got teary eyed over a video but...it's just so awesome when they can fit the lyrics with the images you know. They did a pretty good job with this one too.

Writing

Most of last week I was away on road trips (that's how I ended up spending my week off) and now I'm going to work on Sacrifices again. We're doing a combined chapter at the moment meaning that she'll write a bit and then I'll write a bit and we send it back and forth till we're convinced we're finished with the chapter and start on the next one. I think we're almost finished with the one we've got.

I'm trying to come up with any ideas for a one shot or something short of some kind but again I've got nothing. Something a bit fluffy you know. Something happy. I feel like I've done it all though. I need something I haven't tried before.

I'll be back at the end of the week if I come up with anything or not. Hopefully I'll have something.

I noticed that half of what I write on here never happens. In other words, the HP ideas have dried up for now. i don't want to jinx what I'm doing right now so I'll just say...it's something. More of anything else I've done lately.

I really should have kept track of how many times it's rained this summer. Seriously, it's raining for like the 50th time since I've been on break. And it hasn't even reached 90 degrees yet in my part of the country! It's barely made it to 85.

Saw HP. Loved it. Can't wait for the DVD.

That's it for now I suppose.

Guess What!

Okay so having reread Deathly Hallows this week and with the new movie (finally) being released, I'm considering doing a couple of HP related one shots. Now, I have 2 ideas in mind already, one involving Ted Lupin and the other involving the Marauders. Marauders one might take a bit of a 1/5th sort of angle in a non-slashy sort of way (minds out of the gutters people). In other words, random acts of stupidity and lots of cussing. I'm debating whether or not to do it when they're all alive or when they're already dead. The Ted one though, much more on the sweet side of things. So, yay for a random muse appearing. I haven't had a HP muse in years!
